BACKED BY DECADE OF R&D, ECOREMEDY CONVERTS DIFFICULT WASTES TO REVENUE STREAMS
Nov. 12, 2015, Mechanicsburg, PA — David E. Mooney, inventor of the patented Ecoremedy® energy conversion and nutrient recovery technology, today announced a buyout of all shares from Roswell, GA-based rem Engineering, Inc. In tandem with the buyout, the Ecoremedy technology is newly released from an exclusive deployment agreement with Enginuity Energy, LLC. Renamed Ecoremedy , Inc., the company, now based in Mechanicsburg, PA, will continue to market its advanced gasification, pyrolysis and nutrient recovery technology, while developing expanded technological solutions for the waste-to-energy sector. Offering Design/Build (D/B), Build/Own/Operate (BOO) and Build/Own/Transfer (BOT) project models, Ecoremedy, Inc. will partner with strategically positioned companies in each market silo through limited and restricted technology license agreements.
With more than a decade of research and development and two successful commercial deployments of Ecoremedy in the United States, the company is positioned for rapid worldwide growth. Mooney says the company initially will focus on three specific market silos: Agricultural Waste; Waste Water Biosolids; and Medical Waste.
Mooney’s father, former business partner, and co-inventor of the Ecoremedy technology, Robert E. Mooney, of Roswell, GA, will remain an active technical advisor to the new company. Acknowledging his father’s influence on the culture of the new business, Mooney states, “As we move ahead as Ecoremedy , Inc., I will continue to build our success on the business values he championed: Integrity, personal relationships, continuing innovation, and optimism.”
The Ecoremedy gasification process converts messy problematic wastes to renewable energy and, where appropriate, all natural fertilizer and Biochar. The company’s focus on small, distributed waste-to-energy solutions answers market demand for ecological, economical waste management by minimizing the liability associated with hauling waste to disposal sites, generating renewable energy on a distributed grid basis, and reducing air and water pollution.
