Ecoremedy is pleased to announce that US EPA has ruled that our Fluid Lift Gasification process is not incineration. Following precedent from other gasification and pyrolysis technologies, and after extensive technical review, EPA ruled that the Edmonds Biosolids Gasification Project is not an incinerator and is therefore exempt from SSI regulations. The process train in Edmonds will be standard for future projects, so those Ecoremedy projects will also be exempt. Installation of this state-of-the-art system will begin at this award-winning wastewater treatment facility near Seattle in 2022. It will process 14,250 WT/Y of pressed solids into biochar or concentrated minerals, including all grit and screenings.
