Fluid Lift gasification avoids the production of highly toxic and carcinogenic dioxins and furans commonly produced by incineration. These pollutants cause reproductive and developmental problems, damage the immune system, and interfere with hormones. With its ability to make FlexChar™, a unique product that ranges from 1% carbon to over 60% carbon, the Ecoremedy system can be adjusted to increase the recovery of carbon for use as biochar or can be tuned to increase energy recovery for use as a renewable energy source.
Continue ReadingBy any measure, Ecoremedy’s groundbreaking gasification technology to halt the rising costs and environmental hazards associated with biosolids disposal was a tremendous success at our pilot plant in Morrisville, Pennsylvania. This paradigm-shifting technology will help improve the quality of life for countless communities and families. Ecoremedy successfully gasified biosolids cake generated at the MMA WWTP into renewable thermal energy and sterilized products free of PFAS chemicals and other harmful contaminants.
Continue ReadingEcoremedy is pleased to announce that US EPA has ruled that our Fluid Lift Gasification process is not incineration. Following precedent from other gasification and pyrolysis technologies, and after extensive technical review, EPA ruled that the Edmonds Biosolids Gasification Project is not an incinerator and is therefore exempt from SSI regulations. The process train in Edmonds will be standard for future projects, so those Ecoremedy projects will also be exempt. Installation of this state-of-the-art system will begin at this award-winning wastewater treatment facility near Seattle in 2022.
Continue ReadingWith great enthusiasm, Ecoremedy welcomes Mike Kaliszewski to the team as our new Chief Financial Officer. Previously employed as an Assurance Senior Manager at EY, Mike brings over a decade of experience serving both public and private companies, domestic and international. Notably, Mike has extensive experience in both the construction and energy sectors. Mike, a CPA, brings leadership and wide-ranging capabilities that are an excellent fit for the Ecoremedy team.

The two drawings below reflect a vertical vs. horizontal layout for the same ECR-542 system (14,250 WT/Y). Vertical Installation The Edmonds Project, located in Washington state, will be a vertically-oriented two-story installation in an existing incinerator building (56’ x 39’ x 37’ tall). An opening in the wall provides the only access for incinerator demolition and gasification installation.
Continue ReadingIn Edmonds, WA, Ecoremedy is furnishing a biosolids gasification system that will process 14,250 WT/Y to biochar, and reduce all grit and screenings to concentrated minerals. Located near Seattle, it will replace the fossil-fuel fired incinerator with an energy-positive solution to promote a circular economy. The excess energy will be used to pre-heat the stack for moisture plume abatement. Installation will begin in summer 2021.
